New Years Eve 2014, Red Lion Hotel, Sacramento.

The hotel produces an annual New Years event and we were providing sound and lighting for the stage. The band performing was CON FUNK SHUN, a band from the Vallejo area. We started our load in and set up on 12/30 and it took our crew of 8 almost 8 hours to set this show up. We were flying (8) VRX boxes, grounding (4) JBL SRX subs, a lot of lighting all over and 10 stage monitors. We were bringing in a split snake and would run monitors with an Allen & Heath GLD, a split snake, 6 sub snakes, (2) digital stage boxes and our Midas Pro2 for front of house mixing. For lighting, we were using (15) Chauvet TRI64 LED fixtures and (15) Chauvet PIXpar 24's with a 48 channel Elation lighting controller and a Chauvet wireless DMX system. We had some interesting surprise issues, we over came and the show ran smoothly. Our strike team had 2 less people, and it took the remaining 6 of us until 4:30 am to actually leave the venue. It was an extremely long 2 days, and we learned a lot.
