I have been looking forward to this event since 2004. I once worked at Niello MINI when the dealership was on Fulton Avenue in a teeny tiny building. This huge building has been long over due and it's awesome. The event had a lot going on. The guests started outside in the service drive with a welcome, dedication, introductions of the Niello family and the 'official opening' type stuff from MINI North America. The guests were then invited in to the shop where we had a huge projection screen playing the 1969 Italian Job movie. They set up 6 MINI convertibles for people to sit in while watching the movie if they wanted to. In the showroom, there was a photo booth area, an artist painting a Niello MINI piece, and I brought in a female DJ who was playing music. We also set up a LOT of lighting and a small stage. The event was packed with people and was a lot of fun.
